Precisely in the area of prevention and elimination of violence against women and their protection and safety, coordination and coordinated response is a must among institutions. We welcomed a new member from the Michalovce District Office, Department of General Internal Administration. We spoke together about the unequal status of men and women and why a man maintains power and control over his spouse. Those present shared their experience with expert opinions, which many times help them to direct themselves to the right path when dealing with the safety of women and children. We are grateful for the regular participation of members with whom we effectively build multi-agency cooperation and our common goal is to effectively assist and protect women experiencing violence and their children in Michalovce.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project \u201eWe stand with women. We protect and support them!\u201c benefits from a 486 622 \u20ac grant from Norway through the Norway Grants. The project has been co-financed from the State Budget of the Slovak Republic in the amount of 72 993 \u20ac.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of the project is to increase availability of specialist counselling centres for women \u2013 survivors of intimate partner violence and their children in Kosice region by enhancing and increasing the quality of support services in the existing counselling centres in Ko\u0161ice, Michalovce and Spi\u0161sk\u00e1 Nov\u00e1 Ves and establishing new counselling centres in Ro\u017e\u0148ava, Gelnica and Sobrance.
