This week, the final conference of the RISKFREE project, in which we are a partner organisation, took place in Ljubljana. The project is coordinated by our colleagues from Autonomous Women\u2019s House Zagreb and we are also collaborating with other partner organisations from Slovenia, Croatia, Greece and Hungary.<\/p>

<\/p>

We have also contributed our experience in the implementation of the project by presenting the individual outputs and outcomes of the project. We particularly highlighted an interesting survey with women about their experiences with intimate partner violence and with different state and public institutions or NGOs in search of protection and help; workshops for professionals on risk assessment; and the campaign called “When institutions don’t hear, women are invisible”.<\/p>

<\/p>

Other parts of the conference included expert presentations on femicides of women due to intimate partner violence and on assessing the risk they face as a result of violence. This included information on EU legislation in this area and important decisions of the European Court of Human Rights.<\/p>

<\/p>

Another topic of the conference was working with perpetrators of violence against women in the context of increasing the safety of women and their children.<\/p>

<\/p>
